Help local broadcasters turn AI and connected audio into practical growth.

Independent strategy for radio groups that need clear priorities, safe pilots, and operational follow-through - led by someone who knows the North Bay and the realities of local radio.

Context you cannot download from a market report.

Local media strategy works better when the advisor understands the community, the business rhythms, and the people behind the brands. Hopkins Media Consulting is based in Santa Rosa - close enough to sit with programming, sales, news, production, and ownership instead of arriving with a recycled national playbook.

What I do

Strategy built for the realities of local media.

No software quota. No one-size-fits-all transformation program. Each engagement starts with the business decision and the people who will have to make it work.

02Position

Connected audio strategy

Plan streaming, on-demand, metadata, Siri, CarPlay, and voice discovery around real station operations - without forcing an all-at-once rebuild.

03Deliver

Pilot delivery and team enablement

Turn the strongest idea into a measured pilot with owners, requirements, vendor coordination, real-device testing, training, and a defensible decision.

A disciplined path

Discover. Prioritize. Pilot. Decide.

The work is designed to create evidence, not momentum for its own sake.

01

Discover

Interview the people doing the work and map the tools, handoffs, bottlenecks, rights, and risks that shape the real opportunity.

02

Prioritize

Score each use case against impact, complexity, cost, time-to-value, editorial trust, and the capacity of the team that must operate it.

03

Pilot

Prove one focused idea with a small audience, clear measures, human accountability, and a budget ceiling before scaling.

04

Decide

Return to leadership with evidence and a clear recommendation: scale, revise, partner, or stop.

Connected audio

Make local radio easier to find, hear, and value.

The next radio experience is not only an app. It is reliable streams, useful metadata, on-demand shows, voice actions, CarPlay, concise local briefings, and sponsor inventory that can be measured without weakening listener trust.
